I have been photographing DJ & Cortney for a few years now and I was beyond delighted when they requested I shoot their wedding. It was held at the Redden Lodge in Georgetown in the morning for a adorable brunch style wedding. The vibe was country rustic with beautiful sunflowers everywhere you looked and trees surrounding for a secluded intimate feel. "Early bird gets the worm" as they would say and that's exactly what went down. Decorating as sun came up and hair/make up started swiftly after! The ladies and gentlemen dressed at the lodge in side by side rooms and had the dipping and dodging down to an art form, as to not catch a peak of each other. The ceremony seating was setup with hay bales for guests and a wooden arbor decorated in sunflowers and surrounded by crates and metal details. The bride's chariot dropped her off right at the aisle way, as the groom got the official first glimpse of his future Mrs. They were joined by their daughter Carsyn who made sure the overhead flyover was acknowledged during vows. (LOL...so adorable) The ceremony was so relaxed and comfortable they couldn't have asked for a more beautiful morning to wed. The details were so amazingly thought out, it was everything you could want for brunch and MORE! Waffles to breakfast meat to cereal were all present. Adults could treat their taste buds to coffee, mimosas & bloody marys in personalized DJ & Cortney mugs and glasses. And the CAKE!.... OMGeeee.... a tower of DONUTS!... in a variety of flavors! Perfection! After the ceremony we took a quick golf cart ride down the lane while everyone began eating to capture a few first moment pictures of just the two of them. Carsyn even joined the party for a few short moments. A quick turn of the hay bales and they had a proper boot scooting dance floor. For which the bride was prepared for with her personalized sneakers and she couldn't wait to get down! The bride and groom danced their first song followed by mother/son and father/daughter. The reception became glorified back yard party vibe with kids and adults playing Yard Yahtzee, Cornhole and Jumbo Jenga. You found most of the ladies dancing and plenty of camaraderie in the air. It was just wonderful! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Wimer, may you have many, many happy years together! -Nikki Anything Goes Photographer VENDORS
